This request for proposals comprises two categories of projects:
1. Large scale Applied projets (LAPs): 3 years large-scale multidisciplinary teams tackling complex problems with direct applicability to genomics. The maximum request to Genome Canada is $500,000 with 50% of the requested funding that must be obtained from other sources. For project lead by Quebec researchers, Génome Québec will contribute 35% of the total budget. Please contact Génome Québec for further information about co-funding.
2. Small scale Innovative projects (SIPs): 2 years small-scale, innovative and transformative projects with a maximum from Genome Canada of $250,000 with no co-funding required.
Given the smaller scale of the SIPs, Génome Québec particularly encourages young investigators bringing innovative ideas to apply to this competition.
