The Programme d’intégration de la génomique – volet santé humaine fostered a partnership between Professor Lee-Hwa Tai, Université de Sherbrooke, and TATUM Bioscience, a pioneer in the area of “synthetic live-biotherapeutics,” aiming to develop therapeutic bacteria capable of targeting and eliminating tumours. This radically innovative therapeutic approach will help doctors better treat resistant cancers and contribute to the improvement of Canadians’ health in the long term.
