Genovalia : Non-human genomics data enhancement center

Project administrative manager: Claude Robert (Université Laval)

Project manager: Philippe Després (Université Laval)

Genovalia is a platform that supports researchers in the academic, government and private sectors to better manage, analyze and use genomic data in different field such as agriculture, forestry and environment. Created at Université Laval, it is open to everyone, and [AS1] builds on leading experts in artificial intelligence and the management of large quantities of data. Genovalia’s mission is to offer services customized to the needs of its users, allowing the users to make the most of their data. The platform also provides a unique catalog of data that is constantly expanding, increasing visibility of datasets, facilitating data re-use and sharing, while ensuring that data owners retain control over their use. In this way, Genovalia empowers the community to collaborate more effectively. In addition, this initiative will strengthen research capacity in Québec and Canada, through a state-of-the art training offer and through the establishment of partnerships with other platforms specializing in genomics.
