Access to genomics and proteomics technologies, large-scale shared facilities and the capability to analyze massive amounts of data are essential requirements for innovative genomics research. Genome British Columbia invests in five platform facilities that support its 11 large-scale projects including: Sequencing and Mapping, Bioinformatics, Technology Development, Proteomics, and Microarrays. Together, these resources and the scientists involved represent an outstanding research infrastructure for British Columbia.
The guiding values of Genome British Columbia’s science and technology platforms are to maintain the highest professional and technological standards, to enhance the accessibility of genomics and proteomics technologies to a broad range of researchers, and to collaborate with scientists locally, across Canada and internationally.
