Functional Genomics and Proteomics of Model Organisms

Proteomics – the study of proteins and their function – is the next critical wave of genomics research. Dr. Rossant’s project team at the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute are studying the function of proteins in a variety of organisms, from bacteria to yeast cells, worms, fruit flies and genetically modified mice. The teams will identify and characterize protein complexes and protein interactions with other proteins.
