At its meeting on June 10, 2025, the Board of Directors of G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec approved the appointment of three distinguished individuals recognized for their expertise and commitment to research and innovation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am\u00e9lie Quesnel-Vall\u00e9e<\/strong> is the Inaugural Chair and Professor at McGill, specializing in equity, ethics, and health policy. She founded the McGill Observatory on Health and Social Services Reforms and the international consortium CAnD3. Her research on policies and social health inequalities has earned multiple awards, including two Fulbright distinctions. A former board member of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, she has held key leadership roles and is frequently featured in major media for her expertise.      <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ian Rae<\/strong> is President and CEO of Aptum and founder of CloudOps and cloud.ca, leading cloud computing innovation in Canada. He has held executive roles in technology and engineering and is active as an advisor and angel investor in the startup community. Mr. Rae serves on the boards of Air Transat, the Canadian Council of Innovators, and the Canadian Digital Governance Council. He holds a B.Sc. in evolutionary genetics from McGill University.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Dr. Mounia Azzi<\/strong> is a strategic life sciences consultant with over 20 years of experience bridging research, industry, and seed capital. She has held leadership roles at adMare BioInnovations, Nexelis, CQDM, and the NEOMED Institute. With a PhD in neuroscience and postdoctoral training at Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al, she now leverages her extensive Qu\u00e9bec and international network to support life sciences organizations and entrepreneurs in their development, valorization, and financing strategies.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
