Targeted metagenomics analysis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Centre\u00a0d\u2019expertise\u00a0et de services (CES)\u00a0is proud to take part in the educative\u00a0project\u00a0\u00a0Mission ADN-Eau<\/em><\/a> supported by\u00a0G\u00e9nome\u00a0Qu\u00e9bec in collaboration with Hydro-Qu\u00e9bec.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the main goals of the project is to discover the level of biodiversity in Quebec\u2019s  bodies of water. Following the collection of environmental water samples by students, the CES platform specialists will perform the DNA extraction, the amplicon library preparation and high throughput sequencing.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CES holds the expertise required to complete various metagenomic analyses (16S, ITS, and other targets of interest) from extraction to sequencing. The sample multiplexing, combined with the different sequencing technology platforms (Illumina MiSeq and NovaSeq, as well as PacBio Sequel II) provides a great flexibility in coverage, allowing the completion of projects of all scopes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
